Candidates for the EAES Technology committee
The EAES Technology committee is actively involved in several EAES activities such as the Wintermeeting, the Technology symposium and hands on courses during the annual congress as well as providing input for the scientific program of the annual congress. The committee strives to be on top of the most up to date technology that is available for surgeons. Members of the committee will also be asked to be reviewers for the Surgical Endoscopy Journal. Technology committee members are actively involved in the EAES (face to face committee meetings, Wintermeeting, congress etc.). This committee is the only committee that also includes engineers and we are ideally looking for 2 physicians and 2 engineers.
Selection procedure:
Applications will be reviewed by the committee on the following criteria:
* Research quality of applicant
* Leadership
* Commitment & motivation
* Vision for responsibility
* Geographical consideration
Term of Office:
Following our bylaws each committee member will serve a 2-year term and his/her position is eligible for re-election for another 2-year term. Only paid up EAES active members are eligible to submit their candidacy.
Submission deadline: 12th June 2021. We strive to inform all applicants of the outcome latest beginning of July 2021. All EAES members have received an e-mail with a personal link with which they can apply.
