European Association for Endoscopic Surgery and other Interventional Techniques

Young Members task force

Mission
EAES Young Members task force is created in 2022 to provide support, networking opportunities and a better environment for professional development to junior members of the international surgical community. With our activity, we aim to offer a better understanding of the EAES projects for young surgeons and different opportunities to get involved in the international community and grow along with other professionals.

Vision
Young professionals are fundamental blocks for the future building of every association, so if we want a strong community for the years to come, younger members’ engagement needs to be boosted. Surgery is constantly changing, and so are the professionals coming out of training. New mindsets could solve new problems and create better opportunities for the future.

If you are less than 40 years of age or if you finished your surgical residency less than 5 years ago, this is the place for your voice to be heard and to feel supported by a community of peers.

Interactive work among members of a society could be useful to find innovative ideas and to strengthen the knowledge. We aim to establish a transversal network with the young members of the other committees (Education & Training, Research and Technology), in order to integrate their work with our spirit.

Furthermore, creating vertical connections from this network would increase the collaboration between junior and senior colleagues, providing to the fresh mind of the next generation of surgeons a solid base.
