HO2. CAMIC BASIC HANDS ON COURSE ON LAPAROSCOPIC SURGERY – ENDORSED BY EAES

Course program:

  1. Demonstration of instruments for laparoscopic suturing
  2. Basic knot 1: laparoscopic surgical knot
  3. Basic knot 2: laparoscopic slip knot
  4. Basic suture: laparoscopic running suture
  5. Demonstration of stapling instruments
  6. End-to-end anastomosis with hand suture/ stapler
  7. End-to-side anastomosis with hand suture/ stapler

HO3. TEM / TEO TAMIS

Half day course. Afternoon: 13.00 – 17.15 Max. 12 participants.  

Goals & objectives:

Introduced more than 30 years ago by Gerhard Buess, transanal endoscopic microsurgery has recently seen a consistent increase in indications and the developments of new techniques and technologies.

The course will address all the aspects of multimodal treatment of rectal lesions focusing on the role TEO equipment , its clinical indications, technical characteristics and future potential developments.

Participants will acquire theoretical and practical skills through lectures and hands on training on TEO/Storz  platforms.

HANDS-ON ULTRASOUND COURSE
Course directors: Calin Tiu (Romania), Andreas Melzer (Germany / UK)

The program is dedicated to introduce surgeons at any stage to the practice of diagnostic abdominal ultrasound imaging, and ultrasound guided needle interventions. The attendees will be taught basic principles of ultrasound function and Imaging interpretation alongside with hands on imaging of abdominal organs of each other, supervised by experienced tutors.
