Election for EAES Board position

The procedure for elections of board positions in the EAES is described in the bylaws. As a result of this procedure, a call for nominations for the position of General Secretary and Internal advisor was issued to all members on 8th May 2023.

In accordance with Article 10 of the Bylaws, elections shall be held at least one month before the Annual General Assembly and the members shall have 10 days to cast their votes.

These elections will run until 19th May 2023 after which the results will be checked by the EAES attorney. The winners will be informed in advance and officially installed during the general assembly in Roma, Italy on Wednesday 21st June 2023.

General Secretary

Role and responsibilities EAES General Secretary

1. provides an annual report in writing at each congress executive meeting i. Written version read at the executive committee meeting during the congress ii. Written version read at the general assembly
2. with the past president, is responsible for relations with the IFSES (paragraph 27)
3. is responsible for the minutes of the board meetings and general assembly
4. sets up the EAES elections, is responsible for controlling the voting, by publishing the outcome, and announcing by letter, with the president (paragraph 1 q), the results to all candidates, elected or not
5. together with the Treasurer and Education & Training committee head, reviews and approves all EAES courses involving financing (sponsored courses), other than courses that need simple approval and endorsement without any EAES role in financing (endorsed courses, role of educational and training committee head)
6. has the responsibility of international affairs and membership Is this to be changed when introducing
7. is member of the Program Committee
8. is member of the EAES Foundation

Internal auditor

Role and responsibilities EAES Internal Auditor

1.ensures that procedures/activities do not violate the bylaws
2.supervises the execution of the decisions and resolutions of EAES matters and checks if said approved resolutions are translated into action within a reasonable time frame
3.provides an internal control system for all legal matters of the EAES
4.reads and approves (with the current president) the minutes of all executive and daily board meetings
5.is responsible for supervision of election process (organisation by the general secretary)
