Discovery robotics courses

One of the main goals of the EAES is the education and training of surgeons. Therefore we are thrilled to announce that, throughout the year, we can offer several discovery robotics courses. These courses are organised in collaboration with Intuitive (DaVinci robot system) and are held at the Intuitive Surgical training center in Freiburg, Germany.

Multiple successful courses have already been organised in the history of EAES and it is our honour that we can keep on offering this amazing opportunity to our members.

The faculty members for the courses will be selected by EAES and Intuitive.

Criteria for selection

• Participant must be a paid up EAES member and not older than 45 years
• Living and working in Europe (for the courses sponsored by Intuitive, due to legal restrictions)
• Participant has a robot in their hospital and is interested in doing robotic general surgery
• 200+ endoscopic general surgery cases experience as a single surgeon
• Recommended doing simulator training if possible before the course

Due to the popularity of the courses, we get much more applications than we can accommodate. That is why we use a randomised selection process.

As these courses are only available for EAES members, please check your email for application instructions. The email with the personal link, will be sent about 5 weeks before the application deadline. Submission closes on day of deadline, one minute before midnight CE(S)T.
