The grants awarded each year amount to a total sum of €30.000, is usually divided between 2 to 3 winners. This vital funding can help with bench fees, research related administration and costs of disseminating research. It may contribute towards salaries if necessary.
One of the conditions of the award is that the outcome and results of the research are submitted for publication in Surgical Endoscopy, the journal of the Society. we encourage researchers to apply for these funds and utilise the research methodology training and support that has been established by the Research Committee of the EAES. The aim is to encourage both established and research naive investigators to innovate in this space.
